Asthma Week 5: How to Build Confidence

There's a lot to remember about asthma. Don't worry, you'll get there!

Asthma flare-ups happen less often when kids take the right medicine and follow their asthma action plan. In fact, kids do better in school, sports, and life when they feel strong and can manage their asthma.

Do these things to build kids' confidence:

  • Let them take part in their asthma care.
  • Praise them for a good job.
  • Share the asthma action plan with teachers, camp counselors, and other caregivers to help kids feel safe.

Build your confidence, too! Stay in control by setting up daily medicine reminders. Reach out to your care team for advice and support. When asthma is well-managed, kids stay healthy and can do all the things they love to do!
